Fluxgate Magnetometer - Pulse Induction Gold Getter ???

Let's wait and see how the new Garrett machine turns out, and then I think I know the man who can do the hybridization job without too much trouble. Since the coil loop wires of the PI have to be "discharged" to prevent the machine from detecting it's own eddy current, I would think the mag sensor could be "clipped" in the same manner. And since the PI is "off" while the mag is "on", the mag would not detect the non-ferrous coil windings of the PI. A little mumbo-jumbo with a toggle between the two control circuits and power supply, i.e. one off while the other is on, and "presto", a ferrous discriminating PI gold machine......... THAT WORKS!

Here's hoping that the new Garrett has one heck of a ground balancing circuit.........

Ralph
