Hello Ralph,

Like personal like the Minelab GP Extreme metal detector with Coiltek accessories and searchcoils. Before this unit, I used all the SD units for some time with much success. However, I been back over most of all those old SD patches with the GP Extreme and found more deeper gold than before with the same size searchcoils.

I know for a fact that the GP Extreme is going deeper than the prior stock SD's, since I found some of my biggest multi-ounce pieces with it.

Like you stated, when you happy and successful with a particular unit, than that is what you generally use! I prefer the GP over all other units, and I have used or at least tested most.

Just an old detectorist opinion,

Rob
