it had the Mmax box. I just can't seem to get used to under the rod boxes. Didn't like it on my Minelab, GoldMaster, or the orignal Diablo. Plus, I'd like to be able switch from auto to manual ground balance at will.

Plus (and this is real important here), I'd like to ignore all ferrous metal objects except big hunkin' gold down to two feet, power my cell phone, act as a GPS, and, dispense ice-cold gatorade for those hot summer months in the desert. Am I asking too much? Probably. :)

Seriously, though, I've been anticipating the Garrett PI too. Heard it's going to be about half the price of MineLabs. I also heard about Eric Foster's machine too, and its much less pricey than the Garret (about $750 last I checked). I read some of what Eric wrote about it and the thing I like about him is that he doesn't give out all the hype (unlike SOME manufacturers we know). If I had the bucks right now, I'd buy one of his machines just because of that.
