Subject: with two cats in the yard

It seems a couple in Lawrenceville, Georgia were discovered to be living in a house with 77 cats. Other than the fact that the floor space was limited due to the number of litter boxes necessary, the house was immaculate. Schedules for meals and medicines for each cat were found in a neatly computerized file system.

When yours truly sets her big feet on the floor each morning, Ayo and his new companion, Maya, both wrap themselves around my toes. They lead me down the hall, then sit watching my feet to determine whether or not they will get fed or if they should indulge themselves in an extra nap. How I ended up with TWO cats, I will never know. Maya thought he was "king of the castle" until Ayo moved in and shoved him off the hill. He stopped his snarling when Ayo thoughtfully began to groom him. He never returns the favor. But Ayo is first in the pecking order when it comes to mealtime. I got complaints when I insisted on maintaining Ayo's old schedule, which consists of half a can of cat food at 8:30 a.m., half a can at 5:30 p.m. and 4 cat snacks at 8:30. Dry food and fresh water are always there, although Ayo prefers the toilet and Maya enjoys the bathtub. The powers that wanna be in this house have noticed that, now on a schedule, Maya has suddenly become much better behaved.

77 cats? I would have loved to sneak into that house and toss a bag of catnip on the floor!
