I apologize for not being here. Again my thanks to Bar for posting, although I am worried about her and Hobbsie as news reports say they have been asked to evacuate their area because of the hurricane. I pray all will be well and that they will be able to return to an undamaged home soon.

My household has been rather nutsoid as of late with my daughter's wedding now only a week away. The world seems to have turned into a crazy place where there are no rules.

Laf was never one for networking. It was a foreign world I pushed him into occasionally. He always enjoyed the results, but never could bring himself to do it himself. He felt that people should be able to "find" him on their own. But the Internet has changed so rapidly that this idea no longer works.

I am always surfing for knowledge and alternative ideas. My current feelings in re: Kerry are that he is a verry scarry candidate. One of the biggest problems in America is our oil dependency. With wife, Teresa, an environmentalist with tons of money at her disposal, the would-be JFK as president becomes a liability to the United States of America. I have been reading constantly and have decided to start giving you links to thoughtful discussions that I find here and there. Occasionally, I will post something completely contrary to what I believe. After the wedding, I will be re-doing the links I have at my Journal. This war on terrorism presents many problems because some think it is an idealogical war while others believe "it's the oil, stupid." It is both. The first link I will provide you with is a rather odd link. It seems to be associated with xbox. I have not been to any other part of the site other than the forum. All I ask is that you read and become educated about the various ideas that are floating throughout the internet. Read the Qu'ran. Read what the citizens of this country think. Recall history. Read the Bible. Pay attention. Think of the 5000 Al-Qaeda operatives in this country. Think about the purported 20 suitcase nukes that sit waiting to be detonated in various American cities. Think about the Saudi bin Laden family. What does bin Laden really want? Is it personal? Is it religious in nature? Is it simply power? Is it jealousy or resentment against the U.S.? Is it the backwards cultural nature of Islam that hates the American liberalism or secularism?
