The League of Nations failed because it became bogged down in mindless backroom dealings that made it irrelevant and incapable of achieving its stated goals.

Seventeen meaningless UN Resolutions and twelve years of similar backroom dealings have proved the United Nations is no more capable of meeting its goals than was it predecessor. Its days are now numbered. Recent discoveries prove Koffi Anan's and France's complicity in the rape and looting of the UN Oil-for-Food program over the six year life of that program. Hussein, his sons and others - INCLUDING THE FRENCH - looted that program for more than $20-BILLION while Anan winked at the thefts and approved those wrongdoings.

We need to immediately seize the vehicles of all UN diplomats who have thumbed their noses at NYC traffic and parking laws for years and sell them to collect the money they have refused to pay. Then we need to have a gigantic yard sale and empty the building.

If they want a meaningless international body they can manipulate, let the French, Germans and Russians supply the UN with the things we have been donating since the end of WWII. We have but one vote in the UN, yet we have been saddled with more then 27% of the cost of the UN's operations over the years. Let France, Russia and Germany pay that amount for the next fifty years. We don't need them and they do nothing for the United States or its citizens. Should they demonstrate that they have become a meaningful body, then we ought to reconsider rejoining them... but only with a price tag in keeping with our representation in that body.
