I think it shows that each of us... no matter how others perceive us on here... have our own daily battles with reality and life. Some are shared. Most are not. The fact is... life is tough and its tougher for some than it is for others. I'm wagering that most of us here are at - or have cleared - middle age, and we are all dealing with health problems of our own, our friends, or our families. Mine are minor compared to those of Patsy, Laf, Draggie, Nola, and our late online friend, Jane. My heart still grieves for her. On another forum, she posted the night before she passed away.... can you imagine doing that? I can't! I'd have been wallowing in self-pity and supporting the theory that misery loves company so where's my company? jane wasn't like that at all though.

Draggie, I am glad you are back and on the road to mending. I've heard the diabetic diet is overall a pretty good diet to live on - even if you arent a diabetic. I hope you will take very good care of yourself and stick around a long long time.

Nola, I can only slightly imagine what it must feel like to be facing a decision of that sort. And as has happened before, I can't find the right words to express what my heart is feeling. Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers. May the peace and strength you need be with you at this time.

Laf, face it, old bud... you're like the Wiley Coyote... You'll stick around a lot longer no matter how many anvils hit you on the head... you hear me?
