We need the help of Ron or Bar Hobbs or Hope Bates on this one. For an extremely brief time today (about 5 minutes total) , I saw a news item listed on the MSN home page about a Tampa City employee who was recently fired for having a "Confederate license plate" on his personal vehicle. As with all such stories that show the other side of the debate on a controversial matter that illustrates the intransigence and intolerance for opposing viewpoints of the liberal, leftist, socialistic-leaning p-c crowd, it was immediately quashed. It disappeared almost instantly and does not even appear in the lists of other news stories accesible from any of the news pages.
It was originally on the list of AP and Reuters news articles, but it disappeared from those lists before I could go to that article. It is now nowhere to be found.
If Ron or Bar or Hope can get us the details, I would appreciate it. It appears, at first blush, to be another case of the politically correct powers that control the press and government suppressing any news that proves that the p-c crowd only support "freedom of speech" for those who say things that don't offend them or show their narrow-minded view of the right of those with opposing views to speak out freely as a citizen. I will be posting another group of posts in a bit that deal with this phenomenon that is becoming more and more prevalent in our nation.
I have been called a "right wing whacko" by those who don't know me at all or who are incapable of presenting cogent and verifiable proof of the hatred they spew. I have been accused of trying to silence contrary views, yet those accusations occur in public posts here that are never deleted. The viewpoints presented are usually logically and factually repudiated, but never the right of the fool who posted it to prove his or her foolishness.
How about filling us in Ron, Bar or Hope? It happened in your neck of the woods. Perhaps Debi has some news on the incident as well. She also lives in the largest Old Fart Trap on earth. I am still trying to figure out what south Florida uses for bait, but it sure as heck pulls in the elderly and the most challenged motor vehicle operators on the face of the planet in droves.
