As far as baby items suddenly appearing in your shopping basket, I am going to spill the beans on a phenomenon I have observed first hand on many occasions. I think there can be an argument made that it is a genetic imperative specific to the gender.

I was often pressed into service as a shopping companion for Plaintiff Number 2. Our son, at that time, was not even a teen yet. Nonetheless, every trip through every store required a trip through the infant's section where she would examine everything there. When asked the motivation, there was never a rational explanaton given.

Then you have the example of our vey own "Babboo," who obviously likes the state of grandmotherhood so much that she does the same thing. I have even caught her sending her daughter flowers and candy with attached cards indicating they are gifts from her son-in-law. She also frequently planted the idea with her daughter and son-in-law about how nice a "romantic getaway weekend" would be for them.

Now, that's really liking being a "Babboo" a lot! Perhaps too much?

By the way... it worked. Her name is Evie.
