Your response answered my question's mostly and i thank you for sharing what must be terrible memories that you must wish you did not have and at the same time, in part, hope to never forget.

If not for our intervention and conflict with the North do you think the South would have been over ran anyway?

Also, if our politicians had not sent troops to South East Asia do you think the "Freedom Fighters" would have had need to draft people to fill the ranks in the horrible ways they did, through murder and kidnapping?

Or would the only difference have been is that American troops would have not been there to witness it and over 50,000 thousand lifes of American solders would have been spared a useless death. I say useless death not to be disrespectful but speak of the politicians who sent our troops over there, then limited there ability to fight in a way to achive victory and after being recalled home, not allowed to finish what they were sent to do, having the North over run the South which they probably would have done if our politians had not gotten this country involved in the first place.

When answering this if you choose to do so, and i understand completley if you do not wish to. Know this about me, he who poses the questions.

I do not like politians, any politians, i do not have those i favor over others. I beleive them all to be liars, everyone of them and those who are not are defeated by those who are because when all is said and done, however unforunate it may be, nice guys finish last. I hold no party afiliation, i am registerd Independant. I vote because it is the only power i have short of revolution to decide what choices are made on my behalf by those i already beleive to be liars and as hard as i try, i cant come up with a better way short of anarchy. I am also a student of history who understands that it is rewritten by those who have the power and in many cases reading between the lines is the only way to know what happened because no two people, nor no two sides tell the same story the same way and for that very reason is why lawyers and politians exist!
