Subject: Because if you can't beat them, join them! Many years ago an Australian dancer who had never recalled before had something similar on her dress and guess what? She recalled and I am pretty sure placed top 10 or close to it. Kids from overseas have all the lookalike globes and flames and you name whatever secret identifiers they come up with, so if that's the only way to get noticed, who can blame them. Better than spending thousands on a dress and being completely ignored because they don't recognise the dancer. If you think dancers are being judged fairly at Worlds, you are kidding yourself.
