CASTING- IRISH DANCE FILM -- Celtic World Pictures, 15:49:13 12/19/09 Sat
We are currently in the preproduction stages of producing an Irish Dance Film (title unknown) with a current budget of 3 million US dollars, which will shoot between Ireland and the US late 2010. We are currently casting Irish Dancers 16 years and older who are of championship level for the lead roles. We are asking dancers who meet the standard to put themselves on tape, dancing one step of both a heavy and soft shoe dance, along with a recent photograph and resume. Dancers selected from audition videos will then be accommodated and flown to screen test in Los Angeles where they will be required to learn and read 2 scenes from the script.

Cast will be provided with airfares, accommodation, per diems, work visa's for the United States/Ireland and excellent pay according to the Screen Actors Guild (union) contract.

Anyway, I was told by my TCRG that the new rule beginning January 1st in Australia was that the shortest a skirt could be was half way between the "gluteal fold" ( the bottom of your bum!) to the middle of the knee which sounds more reasonable as it would be a diferent length on every dancer depending on their leg length.         Short dresses are not such a new thing. When my daughter competed her first nationals in 1997, her ADCRG teacher told me she preferred "bum warmer" dresses and didn't like them too long. Dress number 939A on dance again has been reduced to $600 AUS o.n.o for Xmas please take a look it is in beautiful condition and priced to sell would suit 10 to 12 year old .
