I think youll find when he “wasn’t watching” he was actually listening instead. Which I find important too as many dancers are lacking in rhythm and timing and clearly thats what he prefers so he was awarding clear and loud rhythm. All judges have different approaches and its unfair to say his method was unjust as most of his places were spot on to the final result
