You can use CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R and DVD-RW. It is possible that you may be able to use DVD+RW and DVD-RAM but this will be dependent upon your drive. You DON'T need any third party software with WatchetBurn! - it has its own ASPI layer so it writes directly to the disk.

You should be aware that you can only use CD-R and CD-RW for dynastic backups because DVD writing is single session. (If the terms - e.g. ASPI - are unfamiliar please refer to the Glossary page in the Help.)
