Subject: We Like to Watch!

(Backstage at the July 3rd "Rampage." Sister Chastity Perpetual and Nicollette D. Wolfwood have arrived in their locker room. As they are not on the card, their bags are not opened. Sister Chastity wears her full nun's habit and wimple, and drinks from a bottle of water. Nicollette sports her usual black suit and white shirt, and smokes a cigarette. Both are focused on the small television on which they have just watched The Strays' latest promo. Nicollette takes a long drag off her cigarette and turns with a grin to her tag team partner.)

Nicollette: I suppose that pointing out the fact that I'm not exactly a nun wouldn't make any difference, would it?

Sister Chastity: Nay, not under the present circumstances. The vows thou didst take be very different from mine, but to those not a part of the path we follow, the distinction means nothing.

Nic: That's what I thought. Let's not tell them anyway. I don't think their delicate little minds could take it.

SC: Thou shouldst nay speak slightingly of those whom thou dost know we shall soon meet in the ring, particularly when we have nay yet observed them in action.

Nic: I know that, but give me a break! What fun is it to have opponents that don't even fight back? The Dark Stars always had something to say. Even E-lu and Goliath were good for a few laughs. Remember when he had us arrested for assault and theft? I must admit, that one was well done. After everything I said about those two White Wolf LARP rejects, and they pretty much rolled over and took it. "Nothing more is needed to be said." The only time a person says that is when he doesn't have the verbal capacity or the mental lightning bolts needed to come up with something. It's the "I'm taking my ball and going home" idea. Let's buy the two little rays of sunshine a thesaurus so they can actually put a decent chain of words together next time.

SC: Perhaps so. One would imagine that so tortured a soul might have a devil's tongue to match, but such be not the case here.

Nic: Well, he wants us to watch his match, and we should. It's only smart to prepare.

SC: Indeed.

Nic: How long until showtime?

SC (looking at her wristwatch) : Nay but a few moments more.

Nic: Ok then, let's pull up a seat and watch. Oh, by the way.

SC: Yes?

Nic (grinning wickedly) : Did you bring your mask of shame? I left mine in my other pants.

(Love and Peace burst into hysterical laughter as they sit on two wooden benches and wait for the show to start. Scene fades to black.)
