Subject: Looks like they know the "JIG IS UP" at Amarillo Dragway

I was at the last race for Amarillo the other night, and there were quite a few screw ups, but they finally got it done. I even had to go to the tower once, and get them to re-run me and James Walthal in the second round over, after I won, but they had the wrong car dial-in and even car number on the time slip in my lane, making it impossible for James to win. They admitted their mistake and rans us over again, but this time I lost by .006 !!! On a happier note, amazingly the bite was actually quite good for a change, as my 60 ft times were about the same as in Lubbock the week before, and I just couldn't believe it!! That was definatly better then when the Jet Cars ran last time and it was a real challenge to figure out when the kerosene was gonna clear off, and the track come back in. I dod better that race though, going down to 8 cars, and the same thing the week before at Idalou too. I just cant seem to get into the money rounds lately. We will try to improve that in Dallas at the Bracket Finals, which I will be at, running for the Idalou team.

The latest thing I heard floating around the pits was that they weren't going to open up next year. I guess thats the story they (current ownership)are gonna put out to keep up the illusion, so as not to have the deal with what is really about to happen. When they lose their appeal of the court case, the already posted bond of money, AND THE TRACK, will be forfieted to Jack Eric, like should have happened long ago. I guess they want everyone to think that they haven't had any luck "selling" the place, so they are just gonna close it down. Looks like reality will have to finally settle in on them (bite them you know where) and even after that, they will try to put some kind of spin on it. At any rate I will be glad when all this is settled, and I hope it comes soon, cause I'm gettin real tired of holding my breath, now I'm just "waiting to exhale"
