After listening to everything with a vested disinterest, Lazar's eyes widen when he hears the price of the spells. He mentally curses the city many times before regaining his composure, "Oh my my, what prices you have. You must be a very successful mage college indeed." He makes a big show putting the back of his hand on his forhead and feigning despair, "Oh... if only I could take advantage of the premises properly for I'm afraid I'll be away on a very perilious mission, in the name of all that is right and decent of course, and I'm afraid this might be the last time I ever pay a visit to your fine college. Ohhhh the unknown perils of the high forest... ohhhh the base vileness of the Marshe of Chelimber; I fear that I may need lay down my life, no matter the conviction in which I do so in the name of good, even if my quest were to fail. If only I could chance on a few key spells that might see me through my journey..." Lazar wipes a tear from his eye and seems embarrased, "Oh forgive me I am being melodramatic. It is just that true charity is so hard to find even in a bastion of decency such as this city," he pulls out two especially valuable looking gems from his robe, "What could one such as you possibly deign to give me in exchange for these triffling trinkets?"
