A Beautiful Creature

I made this up about my boyfriend..

In the battle eternal of love and hate
I stand in the battle arena
Unaware of he bloodshed around me
Seeming to stand for an era
The pure light of goodness shines through the night
The hate blocks the light of day
Back and forth each side earns blows
Victory leans sin's way
Out of the midst of chaos and mayhem
An unearthly sound draws near
The evil cackling of a demon's laughter
Sounds a victory cheer
I turn my head to hide the tears
My eye catches a face
My throat chokes up as I walk forward
Possessed, I walk in a daze
A creature, beautiful, with light sapphire eyes
That shine with a pure light
A smile that melts the coldest of hearts
And a touch that soothes my fright
This soul, this being, is my protection
From things that turn me cold
From things that make me cry out in pain
From freezing this heart of gold
And again I hear the laughter in chaos
More mocking with each murder
More spiteful with each mutilation
More delightful with each sinner
I stand with the creature with the smile pure
We walk hand in hand
Stepping over the suicidal corpses
Of the desolate wretched land
He wraps his arm around me
On my cheek he plants a kiss
And there's nothing else but here and now
Nothing, only this.
The screams of terror and rage
Fade into nothing more
Death arrives for the laughing perverse demon
Waiting by his door
The rust-colored blood washed off the arena
It metamorphosed into something new
An exotic haven for light and love
And for the handsome creature and me, too.
