Subject: DIANA Author: Cameron [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 22:36:59 04/09/02 Tue DIANA by Cameron.J.Brunton Far below the sea bashes its head Against the cliff face Like some caged animal in a frenzy The sky, dark and crowded The ever changing pattern of clouds Sweeping swiftly across the land Leaving a wake of sodden pastures And brimming water ways In the silence of a dripping leaf Howling gales with foreboding screams Whipping at the trees With an erratic powerful force The moon cowers behind the velvet clouds Shedding what little light it can Through the savagery of the storm Flashes of lightning light up the landscape Exposing the hidden recesses of night To the crack of the thunder's whip Yet on a rocky outcrop High on a hill My circle of friends has gathered again Naked Showing perfect trust In each other and the elements The manifestation of the almighty And the wonders of nature we call Mother And know as ourselves The low moans of the winds dying fury Incorporate themselves with our own A symphony of nature's best The rain filled grail is passed amongst us We each drink from it with a kiss Like a charged elixir of a life force The liquid races through our veins It sends shivers up and down our bodies Until we are at one with Mother The power and the might of the storm Passes and all is still The wind ravaged land Settles and begins to heal New life sprouts from the old In a cyclic motion of eternal life And so there is balance, peace and motion No need to mourn the dead They are already awakening elsewhere In the subtle silence and stillness Bread and cheese is passed Then in nature's way We indulge in the most physical and spiritual Manifestation of Mother's pleasures Raising again a storm of power The racing wind and flashing light The energy and the flowing of loves juices Making us whole, our group as one The early morning chorus of the birds And the stirrings of the forest creatures Slowly begins to dominate the air As the first rays of warmth Creep forward over the horizon Bringing forth the birth of a new day And as it is born our meeting dies The circle meets and is unbroken We part our ways, only to meet again The sun forever chasing the moon Reveals in Her light what He has hidden As the Horned Gods call has claimed Many a life in His presence But also he shelters us and reflects Her beauty to be with us at night And as She chases Him He too revolves around us chasing Her Forever moving in a balanced circle.
