Subject: Working Rush Hour!!!

I trailered Rush Hour over to the track at 5:00am and unloaded him. Then I settled him in a temperary stall and went outside to watch the other horses work. Then something caught my eye. On the track was a dark bay horse galloping down the track. The girl riding her had her in perfect control as she moved smoothly down the track. The girl pulled the horse up and troted her off the track. I went up to the girl and saw that it was Dana and the horse she was riding was one of the horses I co-owned with Dana. This filly was Sugar N' Spice. I said,"Dana what are you doing here?" She replied,"Working Sugar." Then I said,"Well if you are here then why don't you watch me work Rush Hour!!!" "That is a great idea Mal just let me put Sugar away." I walked back into the barn and put Rush Hour in a free set of crossties. Then I started into the framilir routine of grooming him. After I was done grooming him I set his exercise saddle on his back and put on his bridle. Then I led him outside and checked the girth and mounted. Once I was settled in the saddle I cued him to walk. I took him on the track and asked him for a trot. He moved steadly up the track. When we got halfway around the I asked him for a gallop he responded by puting on a burst of speed then settled down to a nice ground eating gallop. We breezed 5 furlongs then I pulled him up. We went to where Dana was sitting and I asked her our time. She said,"Black Letter Workout!!" Now we knew that we had a winner on our hands and we had made the right decision buying him. After he was cooled out and untacked I loaded him into the trailer and said bye to Dana and Sugar and left feeling happy that our horse had put in such a good time.
