breezing Sugar And Spice,Without A Doubt, and Jetstream(Jasmine's rode him!!!:)....inside>

*It was early in the morning when my husband Alex,Me,my 15 year old daughter Jasmine and my 17 year old son Joey arrived at the track with a trailer in tow.I parked the truck and trailer and hopped out of the truck.Alex opened the trailer door and Jasmine led out a big 3-year old chestnut colt called Without A Doubt.Jasmine his lead to me and I walked him to a stable where I put him in a stall and started grooming him.When I was done,I placed a exercise saddle on his back and tightened the girth.Then I put on his bridle and walked him out to the track.Alex gave me a leg up and Doubt walked off with a long fast stride.after warming him up at a walk,trot and canter,someone hooked a lead to his bridle and ponied the excited colt to the starting gate.Alex pushed the button for the gate and Doubt shot out of the gate like a bullet.I breezed him a couple of furlongs at a gallop and then I let him \go faster at the half-mile mark.We came to the final furlong of the mile and I asked him for another gear.Doubt went even faster and passed the mile mark going extremely fast.I stood up in my stirrups and slowed him down.Alex called "he got a great time!black letter workout"!!! I replied "we should definitly enter him in some races"!I handed him to Jasmine to untack and hand-walk and Joey gave me my next horses to ride,a pretty 3-year old bay filly called Sugar And Spice.Alex gave me a leg up and I warmed her up.Alex loded her into the starting gate,got out of the way and pushed the button that opened the gates.Sugar flew out of the gate in a fast breeze.I was trying Sugar as a sprinter today so I asked for more speed and Sugar increased the speed of her gallop but she tired out.She went past the 7 furlong mark and I slowed her down.Alex said "I don't think she's a sprinter!actually,she seemed like a come from behind type of horse so I think she be better at 1 mile races". "I agree" I told him.I dismounted off of Sugar and handed her to Joey who hand walked her and groomed her.Jasmine was done with Doubt and was watching at the track rail.I asked her "Hey,Jasmine!!!!how about you ride Jetstream"! Jasmine gasped and said "really...me...wow,sure"!!!Alex led out Jetstream and gave Jasmine a leg up onto him.Jasmine had breezed some older racehorses for other people before but she had never ridden a 2-year old colt with so much talent and speed before.Jetstream eagerly walked off and Jasmine then warmed him up.I called to her "Ok,now your going to be ponied to the gate and Jetstream will gallop out of it.Make sure you stay in position when he does and breeze him to the 1 mile mark.keep him at a good pace until the last two furlongs.then you let him out"!!!! Jasmine called "OK" and then went into the starting gate.Alex pressed the button and Jetstream surged out of the gate.Jasmine just managed to stay in position and then checked his pace until the last 2 furlongs.She let him have his neck and he plowed ahead.Jasmine was doing a great job at riding him and after the finish line,she slowed him down.She dismounted and walked over to me with Jetstream.She handed him to Joey who took him to be groomed and hand-walked.Jasmine told me "When he came out of the gate,it was like riding a tital wave!!!But it felt great to go so fast"!! I smled and laughed.that was exactly what it felt like to me.My family helped me lead all of the horses back into the trailer and then we all got in the truck and drove home.
