Subject: Psychic experiences

There are all sorts of psychic experiences; clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, mediumistic trances, precognisance, or even sensitivity. I think most people have at least one such experience at some point in their lives. I have had a few, but the strongest happened fairly recently.

The last time I was at Gettysburg, PA, walking the battlefield, I was complaining to myself about how hot it was. I heard a male voice say, "Yeah? You should've been here in July." I had taken a few more steps before I realized that a.) the only man nearby was my father, whose voice it was not, and b.) I hadn't heard it with my ears; the voice had been in my head. My normal mental voice, with which I think, does not have an obvious gender. What really struck me, though, was that the voice had a Northern accent; walking at Devil's Den, if I had expected to hear anything (which I didn't,) I would have expected a Southern accent, probably from around Texas. I retraced my steps and tried to re-establish what was apparently contact, but did not succeed.

Has anyone else had a moment like this? I've always had sensitive impressions of places, but have never had anything else like this happen. It wasn't even a residual phenomenon; wherever it came from, it was in direct response to my thoughts.

Ideas? Impressions? Similar tales?

~Rachel.
