Subject: I couldn't throw the book Ghost Story by Peter Straub far enough

I usually don't dis books even if I hate them, but this was an exception, and I had to vent, as throwing the book, kicking it, and even using it for a coaster didn't help. There's simply no excuse for an alleged horror novel being so vapid, insipid--- as if a mentally challenged 12 year old wrote it, and got the assignment wrong: instead of writing something scary, they thought the teacher said: write about boring old people with unremarkable lives, and do not venture into the supernatural whatsoever!! Iiiiii! I want to go kick this book some more!!!!!!!!!!!
