I woke up to another day at Silver stables. It was very quiet except for the peacefull sound of the horses calling to each other. I decided to get up even though it was early for me (6:00 am!!!!). I went into the feed foom to get the morning feeds for my horses. While i was doing them i found my self wishing that i had boarders at my stables, i love looking after horses because they all have different characters. When the feeds where done i went to get all my horses in from the field because sometimes they get excited and start playing up when i feed them in the field. Once they were in their stables i delivered there feeds and there waters. When they had finished i set out Baby and Raven promising my self that i would work with Raven tomorrow. I had decided to work with doll today but seen as i cant work with her for too long i worked with halo as well. This is how i got on. I got doll out of her stable and groomed her. She stood quietly which is very un-usaual for a filly of her age, but she has been handled alot since she was born because we had to bottle feed her for the first few hours of her life. Next i cliped a lead rope on to her headcollar and started to lead her round the indoor ring. She was behaving very well while she was walking round so i asked her to trot on while gently pulling on her lead rope. All doll did in responce to that was buck playfully. This did not realy matter seen as she is only 7 months old and she has not done much work on the lead. I asked her again and this time it worked. She has avery good trot for a filly of her age. After a few laps round i brushed her down and i set her out into the field with Raven and Baby who came over to meet her. I went back into the barn to fetch Halo. Today Halo seemed to be being very well behaved. She seemed to look at me and say 'look this is how a proper horse should behave'. Halo does not like being with the youngsters all the time. I groomed her, put her tack on and mounted her. To give her and me a break I thought we could go on to the trails. After walking for a while I gave halo her head and she started troting. When we got to a wide strech of fields with out any gates I told her to canter and then to gallop. She loved it!! When we slowed down she waved her head about trying to make me let her go again. I told her no and i headed back to the stables at a walk. When we got back i groomed her and i set her out into her own paddock for a change. I went back into the stables and cleaned them all out. Then i went back into the house for dinner. Later that night i was wondering about how lonely it was at the stables some days. I decided that in the morning i was going to put a notice up for a helper at the stables. :-)!!!!!
