I know - Brees went with no touchdowns against the Bills and Jets and the Saints still won both games without having to sweat too much. I think having a healthy Pierre Thomas is key. He's not a marquee running back but when you can keep alternating between him, Bell, and Bush then Brees doesn't need to go out and break records every week.

I'm with you that the D isn't a monster but they're more than good enough when you pair them with that offense.

It's a weird season. 2/3 of the league sucks so it's not that hard to pick conference championship games. I do think Favre will slowly break down physically and mentally over the course of the season but could be wrong.

Right now he's still slinging the ball but they're being caught. I think it was two weeks ago with a 7 point lead he aired one out on 3rd down and it could have easily been picked off.
