I liked the X-Wing books alot! They are between the Truce at Bakura and the Courtship of PL. And there is I, Jedi. That one was very interesting, written in first person and has an amazing persective on the Jedi training.

Then there is the Zahn dualogy, both are very, very good IMO.

But what you may want to avoid reading are the New Jedi Order books, *spoiler* They kill Chewbacca! */spoiler* Damn them!
