An additional thought: if there is an approriate starting point to look at the place where "accepted reality" and "Reality 2.0" differ, maybe the place to start looking is the study of Primal energy (aka Quintessence). From reading the books, it seems clear that nobody really knows what it is, or even what to call it, but everyone seems to agree that it seems to be a building block of the universe in some fashion, and is an observable (and thoretically measurable) phenomenon that is wholly a function of the practice of "magic." It simply doesn't exist to the world of accepted science, or at least it hasn't since Aristotilean physics went out of vogue. It may be a more basic-than-basic particle, or it may be some sort of waveform made of pure chaotic possibility. However you approach it, that gives you a first step to understanding all the rest of it, because it's Quintessence that makes it work. I have been working on it, (I think that's what I've been doing. It's hard to tell, really) and I may be able to help you all to know what to look for.
