Eduna - thanks so much, I just wanted to tell you that even though I wasn't there I really appreciate finding out about this. Of course, I'm scared out of my wits now, but there's hardly anything we can do about that ....

Is there any way that he might have been 'infected' in some way by Scarlet? Is there any chance that those people who she marked could be in danger? If so, we have to try and do something about it. Can we come up with any other reason why this poor man might have been killed, other than that this man from the future has crazy power and the callousness to use it?

Maybe I'm just being cynical, but I never thought that anyone willing to kill someone - even someone like Scarlet - would be doing it just for altruistic reasons (you know, to save the world or whatever), and unfortunately this just seems to corroborate my feeling. On the other hand, I'd really like to think that there's a reason for this, and if there is we should try to figure out what's going on. I think all we know about this guy is that he fought a duel ... Do we have any contact with the person he bested? Might that be a lead?

I just feel like we have to do something about this if we can - especially since there's no guarantee that we (and those we care about) aren't in danger.

Got it. My friends Sasha and Tom both have police scanners, by the way, so if that will help us come up with a story that stands up to his detection let's go with it. Did you tell him who the call was from? Can I just call you and tell you that Sasha heard about this on the radio and then be able to truthfully tell Joe that I made the call to you, even though the timing is all wrong? As long as he doesn't explicitly ask WHEN I called you it should be okay ....

I really don't understand what you're getting at with this murder thing - you mean the murder of this hermetic? Or something else? I can research the questions you asked, but it'll take me a few days, assuming you want me to be subtle about it ....
