they are seperate as what you call the real world is seperate from the digital web. the web touches all computers and their integrated systems.

i have a theory about this. at the time when technology was beginning to seriously and rapidly change the world, [possibly between the 1400's and 1700's] reality deviated into three versions. i will call what we live in Future 2.1 which was changed by technology in the way we remember as history. The City exists in Future 2.2 - changed as we were but in a different and more drastic way. i believe there also exists a Future 2.0 - changed but only minutely. this version, however, is beyond my scope of understanding - i cannot acess it, thus it does not truely exist, or its technological level is not sufficient to support what we know of as computers.

this is a much more interesting line of discussion than the one we left behind, my friends.
