I see. By the "digital web" I infer that you mean a seperate "web" distinct from the internet that I know of. Does this web even connect to computers that are physically seperate from all other computers? I have a laptop in my apartment, for instance, that is not connected to the internet, nor is it plugged in to a standard electric socket. Could you still access it?

Interesting. There are certain solutions to Einstein's relativity equations that allow for multiple universes as you describe. There are some who postulate that every choice results in a new universe. Even an electron changing energy states could create a new universe, one where the electron made the jump, another where it didn't. At least, thats the theory, its unproven and disbelived by many physicists. In order to access the different universes wormholes or something similar are needed. So its at least possible that there are other universes that you are not aware of.

I definatley agree.
