Ah, but a quantum computer is not known to exist, at least not in *our* world. Perhaps in The City? If so that is the most reasonable explanation.

I'll do some reasearch on problems that can be solved by a quantum computer that can't be solved if P = NP and vis versa. That may help to clear this up.

True. I think I wasn't clear. When I say an unknown mechanism, I don't just mean unknown code, but whole algorithms and categories of solutions that are unknown, even theoretically. This is possible, but its the least likely solution, so if we can explain your abilities using the other two mecahnisms we can discard this third mechanism.

I'm glad, really like solving problems. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't invading your privacy. I would want someone to ask before they took a sample of my blood for instance. We will think about this and we should have some tests in 24 hours or so.
