Date Posted: 10:30:31 03/28/03 Fri OK So relationships are about power... who has it and who gives it away. Reclaiming power once you have given it to someone else is very hard, particularly when that person still wants to be in control. This feels like a battle - a war, actually. And bombs are going off all the time and there are landmines all about the house. It helps some to know that other people have been through this and that some others have a much worse time of it. My friends keep telling me that I should be thankful that there is no physical abuse and I am glad. Still, no one can see the bruises on my heart.
