Words may not kill you but they sure as hell hurt. I didn't have the problem with a man but with my mother who brainwashed me to such an extent that I didn't realise I was an individual with a right to my own life. A control freak of the first degree and the worst thing is that I don't think she knew she was doing it. She complained that her father was an authoritarian bigot and that's what she turned into herself. Whatever happens do keep reminding yourself that you have as much right as anyone else to exist and that you are talented and beautiful (inside everyone is) and people care what happens to you. There will be patches I'm sure when you will feel so demoralised that you just want to give up. Fight like a Scorpius in a corner and tell them all to go to hell!
