Mastropaolo was named to the Maine McDonalds All Star Team, not quite the same thing as the national all star game. first team all staters in Maine often play D2 or D3 ball. point being that these accolades in themself are not super exceptional for a D1 schollarship player. that being said, Bucknell got a very good player and he might have been recruited more heavily, but he really emerged during AAU play after his Junior year and then signed early with BU before too many others got into the action.
as for next years signees, have faith. Flannery and his staff have a good track record for identifying talent and potential. Castleberry has a solid all around game, and plays with and against very good competition. Vegotsky is an outstanding shooter who play AAU with Griffin and played against him in HS last year. i am confident the staff has a very good assessment of their talent and would not be offering these guys early if they were questionable. they will add a lot of needed depth at the guard spots next year.
