Yes, the referees were horrible. From the number of free throws taken it appears that Lehigh had the edge on how terrible the referees can possibly be against the Bison. Bucknell is not playing to its strengths. Bucknell over the last two years has recruited a tremendous amount of talent to its program. However, the bulk of the scoring comes from mainly three players, Chis McNaughton, Kevin Bettencourt, and Charles Lee. You don’t need a rocket scientist to tell you if you shut down those three players you stop a large percentage of your offensive scoring. Yesterday, at Lehigh was an excellent example of what happens when Bucknell offensive run through certain players. In the first half Bucknell was scoring at will, some questionable substitutions were made during the game and the momentum of the game was eventually lost. Bucknell need to do a better job of utilizing its bench in a more productive and innovative manner. All five players need to be a part of the offense, so opposing teams can not just focus on three players. Then the opposing team would have to play defense on five players, knowing any of the players have the ability to score double digits. The Bison need to use their athletic player as well to bring a different prospective to the game. Abe Badmous has shown he can jump out of the gym as well as shoot the three pointers when the other shooters are being guarded. Abe is quick and is an excellent defender on the ball. John Griffin has a nice shooting touch, provides instant offense when hot and under control. Griffin at time defense is questionable and has a tendency to dribble too much, which has his teammate standing around. Darren Mastropaolo and Tarik Via-McClamount have shown a great upside to the four and five position. Donald Brown he need to get more involved in the offense, last year played over 19 minutes a game, and on several occasions provided double figure scoring, with a glimpse of showmanship to his game, and now this season he seen coming off the bench as a defense stop with no plays designed to compliment his jumping ability to score points. John Clark and Chris Niesz can hurt the opposing team when there shooting is on target. In addition, John Clark slows down the opposing guard running through the pick set up by opposing team. Andrew Morris shows a lot of potential for the future of the Bison team. Andrew minutes has increased, and he has maintain the intensity of the game when call on. Rob Thomas has seen very little minutes, not sure what he can bring to the game, but the Bison must have recruited him for his potential to add value to the program.
To all Bison fans I believe we don’t want to hear again (as in years past) NEXT YEAR, NO, ITS BEEN OVER NINE YEARS OF SAYING THE SAME THING. WHAT WRONG WITH THIS YEAR. Let’s go BISON
