Subject: Post Reunion Thoughts....

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you - to each and everyone involved in the planning, development and execution of our 2002 Summer reunion.

I can't say enough about how much fun I had visiting everyone and getting reaquainted. One of the neat things about having so many different events to go to was that you never knew who you'd run into as people could pick and choose where to go.

Each day I'd get up - go for my early morning Walk With Wendy (Schmidt - teacher our Jr/Sr year) around the old historic Punta Gorda neighborhoods and along the harbor shore. (Wendy and I are thinking of asking if others want to join us next time - she is a great tour guide!) Then I just let the day unfold and see where things led me. There was a nice balance between spending time one on one with old friends and also catching up briefly with others at the events.

Wunda and I were picking up some last minute stuff at the drug store Friday before the Dinner/Program. At the checkout was a young lady from the area and she saw our shirts.. and said.. "I am a Senior at Charlotte High" We had on our CHS Tarpon Reunion T-Shirts... and we told her we were celebrating our 30 year reunion. She said "WOW" Imagine how OLD that must have seemed to her! But you know what? I feel great - I don't feel old! I don't feel like 30 years have past, I can't believe that that kind of time has elapsed since we walked the halls of CHS.

Imagine what life will be like in another 30 years when that young lady is celebrating her 30 year reunion.. Look at all the changes we've seen.. microwaves, computers, scanners, printers, copiers (remember the mimograph machine - that purple print?), Palm Pilots, CDs, VCRs, DVDs, cassette tapes and players, ATMs, velcro, post-it notes, the internet, MP3s, Chat rooms, Instant Messaging - I could go on and on.. but the point is, look at the changes in the last 30 years and who knows what will transpire in the next 30!

It is pretty amazing isn't it?

See you at the next one - if not before!

Jenny
