Pat and her sister and I are going to the little town of Clinton to attend services at a church where the man who was the Pastor in the Church where we were both saved. Pastor David Smith has been in Arkansas for a number of years. He is now an evangelist. When he comes to this area we try to go to see him.

It was only a few miles, like 10 or so. It was almost a week ago. Yes, it was a great trip. We saw and talked to people who we knew many years ago and don't get to see often. A lot of them we talk to on Facebook but we seldom see them face to face.

Yes, we did. We got to talk to Pastor Smith and his wife. He was the Pastor in the church where both of us were saved over 25 years ago. He taught me so much about the Bible and about our savior Jesus Christ. His wife Sharon is a wonderful Christian lady. The other old friends that we got to see provided much encouragement when we were young believers. It was wonderful. Unfortunately, the church that he Pastored in those days has been through a bunch of changes. None of them good.

Seems every time a pastor leaves there is upheaval in the church. The pastor is the shepherd in so many ways.
