Just back from Limnos where we almost gave up on going nude. We visited Thanos beach, which has 3 beach bars, each with rows of parasols, and no nudity, not even topless. Even with the Terrain map we failed to find Kokkina beach, we were sure we were on the right track but could not see any side track to the beach.
There are many empty beaches on the island but the land is flat and two people sitting in the middle of one would be seen from kilometres away. Other beaches seem to be empty, Keros and Havouli are good examples, but suddenly Greek couples and families appear and sit near you.
We thought we had found the perfect spot at Parthenomytos beach but were driven off by flies, while nearby Skidi beach was piled high with seaweed.
Then we found Neftina beach, here we saw other naked people every time we went there. You go by the concrete road towards Kaviri archaeological site and the beach is signposted to the right. The dirt track is 2km long and a bit rough in places but people do take small cars there as we did. When you reach the shore turn left to a flat parking area.
