For July 2023, the southern section of the beach nearest the canal is Loutraki's nudist beach. This section of the beach is in front of a large pile of material excavated during the construction of the canal. The area inland of the beach is some sort of military facility. The nude section seems to be well tolerated and is widely known. The beach is beyond the range of the town's trash cleanup crews, but it does offer an opportunity for nude swimming and sunbathing. It is easy to get in the water, and there are no urchins that I have seen. Usage is 100% nudist. Most of the users during mid-day are single men, but couples do appear in the late afternoon.
