The Berjaya resort looks neat and clean, it has been well kept after all these years based on what I saw in August and October 2002. Don't know if the renovation has been completed. Check with the resorts, they pretty good with e-mail replies.

Coral appears to be family friendly, we saw a wooden playard-crib provided to a couple with a baby less than two year old. That's in August 2002. There may be a normial fee to rent the crib. Check with the resort for more details.

Can't comment on Laguna, haven't see it since the opening. Don't think there a big difference. I wouldn't think less or more about Coral or Berjaya in terms of child safety and comfort.

We have seen toddlers with their parents waddling in 1/2 feet of water on Pasir Panjang beach and Teluk Dalam Kecil and it looks pretty safe in my opinion - I am looking at my photos as I write to recap what we saw and documented. Just be sure the kid is under your personal supervision. The boats, well, as far as noise is concern, just about anything that is not accustom to the kids ears is gonna frigthen him for a minute or two until he is reassured that he is not in danger.

Good luck, be safe, and have fun.
