you can hike...or hire a boat from berjaya to ferry you there...

You can either charter a boat (expensive - about RM200-300) or take a hike (for details see my Trip Diary 2002 - http://www.designius.com/redang/p08-diary2002.htm). If in doubt, get a guide or other friends to accompany you. The trail is quite well-marked and easy to follow (just don't go when it's dark).

From the Berjaya resort gate, follow the road left to the pristine beaches at Teluk Dalam Besar, cut across the entire beach to the end and you will see a trail to the right next to a swampy/mangrove area. Follow this trail for awhile and you should see some red electrical power tubes on the ground alongside the trail which will take you to the back of Redang Bay resort. Expect a 45 min brisk walk without stopping to admire the scenery.

Might be a good idea to bring a mobile phone with Berjaya resort # just in case of emergencies.
