Subject: Redang -you ain't seen nothin' yet!

Redang Island is not only about Pasir Panjang (Long Beach) where most of born-again urban tree-huggers are enconsced during their vacation.There is much more to the place.

It would be a great idea if resort operators also include visits to the villages on the island as part of the their tour package.

When the environmentalists talk of redang, they chose to focus mostly on the main beach thoroughfare, without realising that similar environmental plights abound elsewhere.

Not being extreme in outlook, I would say that the resort operators on Redang are a responsible lot. They would be out of their mind to kill their source of income. I believe the environmentalists, including the NGOs are not the only ones with brains...others can think too.

Lets all get together and be responsible and do our bit. Lets look at things from other perspectives.

The best of Redang still awaits the responsible visitor.
