Subject: Diving Log

Hi, my friend is a fully-certified diver (dived in Great Barrier reef, Belize etc) but has lost his log book. Is this going to be a problem to do any diving in Redang? How does one get around this problem, i.e get a replacement?

Also, I know there have been various discussions about Berjaya vs Laguna - but I still cant get a feel for any conclusive answer...having been at Pasir Panjang before, my impression of Berjaya is that it is extremely secluded (good for privacy) but would it be a real hassle if we wanted to spend an evening at Pasir Panjang ?

Should not be a problem as long as he has his C-card. Can always purchase a new log book at any of the dive centres in Redang.

Berjaya vs Laguna really depends on individual preferences. If 'spending an evening' in PP means staying overnight, some resorts do offer rooms charged per night (or 2D/1N package) - you'll have to check with the resorts. You'll probably have to arrange your own transport from Berjaya to PP (or hike there).
