Subject: Recommend Hotel at Redang?

Planning a trip to Redang in August 04 from KL, and hope someone out there can recommend a hotel to meet the following criteria:
- middle cost, aircond and reasonably clean rooms is a must;
- very near good housereef, accessible at low/high water;
- reasonable food at reasonable prices. Perhaps outside eateries nearby;
- snorkelling trips offered.

I have learnt from this excellent site that the Pasir Panjang/Shark Bay area is pretty good. But I have not enough leads to select a hotel. (Definitely will avoid the D'Tebu, though). Anybody stayed at Redang Reef? Comments?
