Subject: Laguna or Holiday Villa???

Hi All

Looking to go out in August, been checking out all the places on the Net and have come down to the Laguna or the Holiday Villa, both look pretty good.

So far it's like this

Laguna...TV in room for those long nights
Holiday Villa...more peaceful and relaxed

Anyone got any other views can they please let me know

Cheers

Laguna is def. better than Holiday Villa: Rooms are brighter and you have your own balcony. Holiday Villa (the word Villa seems a bit overrated.) rooms are dark and you share the porch with your neighbor. If yor neighbor has an occupancy of 5-6 people: the fight for chairs etc. is on.
Allf the rooms are located on the hill, which means a lot of rock climbing.

Laguna TV in room: Last September we had 2 TV Programms (if they worked) So I wouldn't count on the TV , there are def. better things to do.

My recomendation would be: Coral Redang Island Resort

Why the Coral: read my thread.Date Posted: 18:00:42 09/16/03 Tue.
Also, Laguna is way to large. No Island feeling. Just mass tourism.
Coral Redang makes you feel the Bacardi way. Rooms are clean and nice.Nice Bar overlooking the beach etc. Next September I should be back Redang way and will be checking in Coral Redang

Rich, my man:

Can you tell me more about Redang Reef? It looks a heck of a lot cheaper than the others, but nothing beats having been there. I normally stay at the Coral View at Perhentian - nice tree shaded patio, good clean villas on the beach, and a la carte menu all day. Are Redang Reef & Coral anything like that? (Of course I expect Redang Reef to be less luxurious - you get what you pay for..). Thanks.
