Subject: Great place to stay.....

Hi Vin, when was your first day of arrival???? I reached the island on 15th and stayed at Redang Holiday too. I was staying exactly the same villa as Sammi Cheng, perched on top of hill, facing the BEAUTIFUL ocean! There was even a framed signatured of hers which was a poster size. The villa is great and it is cheaper if you book directly from the resort itself. And you know what? A guy who was travelling alone told me that it is even cheaper if we buy the packages from those guys at the Trengganu bus stop. Very very much cheaper. I have been to Berjaya in April, the water there is very much better for a swim, they have their own private beach which is different from all the other resorts where they share one beach. At berjaya, no boats are allowed in the water and there is no bulldozer or tractor moving around and the sand is much more beautiful.

But the accomodation is not as great as the one I stayed at Redang Villa, of cos you must choose the villa suites. Still it is cheaper than Berjaya which provide us standard rooms with no sea view. Berjaya has sea view chalets too, but very ex and Not perched on the hills....

I have been to Redang twice this year and many other times. Simply love that place.

Have you guys been to Banyan tree? I have been there and always thought that place is darn cool till I stayed at Redang Holiday. And of cos the villa are much chepaer than the one in Banyan.

I will be putting up the pictures in my homepage soon...:)

Hi Icebaby, We arrived on the morning of 15 Sept (Sun)! You may have seen us taking our theory lessons at the dive center on Mon (not the younger couple who arrived on Sat, but the ones who vegged out the whole of Sun). We stayed till Fri. We must have seen each other.

Yep, we've been to Banyan Tree in Bintan. We stayed at the Pool Villa there. The view was similar to the one featured in their brochure. It was amazing. And, it was really cool having our own pool and jacuzzi. That is truly hard to beat. But, the natural beauty of Redang plus the rustic charm and warmth of Redang Holiday is a worthy opponent. That was our first trip to Redang. Must revisit the island.

Btw, wld really like to know how to contact those guys who can offer the very very cheap rate for the villas.

And, do give us the URL to your website.
