What a wonderful post Byron. I think my journey has been similar. I've been through the denial, shock, anger, and now forgiveness. I like what you shared about wearing the button. What would my life be if I give in to a lifetime of hating my gay ex? I'd become him in a strange way as I know he hates himself more than I ever could. My hatred was only hurting me and took time away from the people and things I love. My turning point was not too long ago and, like you, it was less of a miracle and more like the finish line of an emotional marathon. I guess I woke up one day and decided to be the sun in my life rather than the rain...if that makes sense. I'm not judging those who are still angry or who may even still hate their gay exes. I've been there and know very well that after a lifetime of holding back and holding on to his secrets, these feelings had to come out. And they came out very violently. But my anger eventually burned itself out and I much prefer what was left: joy. Thanks for 'sharon' Byron! I'm a better person after reading your post.
