The Tower of Jadu

The tower stands tall before you, black and imposing. A huge black serpant lies coiled atop the massive building, crimson eyes peering at you. You enter, climbing the staircase up to the black walnut doors. The black stone walls feel cold and uncomforting. Blood red floors help to cover up the stains. Darkened corridors drift off the main path, dimly lit and draped in shadow, concealing their contents... A child's death scream greets your ears as a blood mage's victim is finally taken. A Catling prowls up to you, his normally gold-green eyes now a vibrant red. He was garbed in the ebony robes of a Jadu Mage, and emitted an air of power... He wipes a bloody hand across his mouth and speaks:

"What have you come for?"

Gate -- Lunatha, 20:00:15 11/23/02 Sat
The gate connected to the Tower of I'del Ren spins open and Lunatha walks calmly out. Black hair stays tucked into a simple braid, her white robes held up from her feet with a single hand. Her violet eyes sweep the parameter of the tower and she looks about curiously. She shifts her weight and closes the gate easily, then looks around again. She didn't have much time handy; her own students were near to complete with their tests.

Lunatha tightens her lips in hesitation; then calls out, anxious to get back. "Hello? Is there a master anywhere nearby that I could talk to?"

With a humorless smile, Stefen enters the Tower; his red hair blending in with the surroundings. He taps a leather-bound foot impatiently, waiting for someone to greet him. A longing sigh escapes as he thinks Oh, how I have longed for this moment all my life...I'm going to be a Blood Mage at last!

He lifts the child down from his saddle, binding her hands and feet securely to a pillar in the Jadu Mage's court, rising and looking to Sarra for an instant, before turning his attention to the mage. "Thank you, milady," he said. "Let us know if we could be of further assistance." Taking their payment he turns, heading for the exit, motioning for Sarra to follow.

He enters the courtyard, unusually subdued. He impatiently shifts the child's weight on his saddle, looking about for the woman they had contracted with at the tavern, whom he now knew to be the Jadu Mage. He shrugged; what she did with her slaves was his business.

I have some additions you might consider putting up, because they will be useful in the future if not now. First is the gates, one to I'del Ren and one to Da'ika. It's just a direct link to their towers, but you three are able to travel among the towers as you wish, part of the benefit of being a mage and the head of your Order. Second, you may wish a workroom and a barracks or similar, but that is your preference. Otherwise... I suppose we can discuss how blood magic will actually work, as I have not thought through it much, and I certainly want your input...
