Subject: Off on a rabbit trail

We're in unit three of volume 2 and we're studying food related inventions. Tomorrow our homeschool group is going to a peanut and cotton farm and so I thought we'd tie that in to our studies. It's amazing how well it fit in. Brittany loves to study the people behind the inventions and so we focused on George Washington Carver. He's a fascinating study. I just wish we had a whole biography on him.

Our math is also tying well into our lives. We're studying area and we're doing some remodeling and painting walls, so it has been the perfect learning experience to measure walls to determine the area so we know how much paint to buy.

Happy Homeschooling!
Sharon
