Subject: The Real Mike Starr Speaks Out .

This post is from someone who is close to the real Mike Starr, and who knows the truth.

It is a real shame that this person, and others, is out in Internet Land impersonating and posting unkind words about Mike Starr, the original bass player for Alice in Chains. Maybe this person, a.k.a. eddievedder29girl@yahoo.com and egrrl, has some kind of personal vendetta against Mike, or maybe this person just does not have much to do with their life? Either way, this person should be ashamed of their self. What this person is doing is childish, ignorant, hurtful, and stupid. It is also called SLANDER. It was obviously not very hard for us to track this person down, who is also posting at other sites, and it would not be hard for Mike to press charges for Slander against this person if we wishes to do so. This person needs to realize that whatever you may have against Mike, you should find some other private way to deal with it.
Everyone should remember that Mike Starr is a real person, just like us all, and none of us are perfect. Just because Mike was in a famous band, he should not be used as a target for anyone to leash out their lies, aggressions, or sickness for all to read. Freedom of speech, is of course our right to express. However, to use it to hurt someone, that was up until now unaware of your speech, is fainthearted.
Let us not forget that Layne Staley has passed. Anyone that has lost someone special to them knows how hard this can be to deal with. It is something that is not easy to get over, if ever. Mike, Sean, and Jerry have had a tremendous loss, and so have AIC family/friends and fans. Out of respect for us all anything that people feel the need to post about AIC members or AIC should be kept at a considerate approach.
Remember, Mike Starr will always be associated with AIC. No one can ever take that away from him. Any public negative remarks or false accusations against him or even the other guys, personally may or may not necessarily bother him or the other members of AIC, but it does reflect and hurt what the world has left of Alice in Chains. Because of negative personal statements being posted, Jerry, Sean, Mike S, Mike I, and the memory of Layne Staley are being endangered. To someone that may not have ever heard of AIC, it would be a shame that the remarks posted about Mike may actually influence their decision to listen to AIC or anything pre and post Alice that all the guys have done. So in doing so, that does not hurt just Mike Starr, it hurts the other guys and the integrity of Alice in Chains as well. Show some respect, and let the name Alice in Chains stay respected. And let each guy from AIC keep the respect that his individual talent deserves. Let us not forget what made the world aware of these guys in the first place. And let us not destroy what their talents combined together gave to us. Their music…. Their band…. Alice in Chains.
Speaking for the REAL Mike Starr, “Alice in Chains could not have been done without all of us. We were brothers, we were a great band and I will always respect that.” To all the people that have posted good things, Mike says,
“Thank you.” “You are not my fans!” (Mike smiles sincerely) “You are my friends, forever.”
